Caroling
On Saturday, January 23rd, everyone was invited to sing Polish Carols (Kolędy) with Jacek Kalisz who accompanied on the piano. This was a great chance to learn the traditional Polish songs of our heritage.

New Year's Eve Party
It was our second New Year's Eve Party where children were invited along with their parents. We had a total of 15 children age 6 through 14 who participated in all games together with their parents. There were about 40 adults. The food was of different varieties and was very delicious. Our main attraction was a performance of four musicians-their first time together! They played very well and one of our Club members was also singing. Their performance brought many people to the dancing area. Just about 40 minutes before the New Year of 2010, we had a competition that all of the guests were involved. It was a quiz of main events that happened in the 2009 year. The quiz is also our New Year's Eve tradition. The winners got chocolates but there were also simple prizes fo all participants. We welcomed the New Year of 2010 with a great joy and happiness. Wigilia Dinner
We recently had our Wigilia dinner at the Club. According to the old Polish custom, there was blessed wafer (opłatek) sharing and kolędy singing (caroling). For the dinner we enjoyed the traditional Polish dishes: barszcz, pickled herring with sour cream, fried fish, and a variety of pierogi. A visit from Santa Claus with Polish chocolate candies concluded the evening.

Children's Christmas Party
It was another successful Christmas Party for children at our Polish-American Club. We had more than 20 children of different ages from babies to young teens. All of them had a good time during playing, singing, and making Christmas crafts. Also, the parents and grandparents who came along with their children were very pleased to see all of the kids smiling and having a wonderful time. The main attraction was a visit of Santa Claus with gifts for all the children. The party was indeed a good start of the Christmas season.
